Patricia "Patty" Tardif

Patricia “Patty” Kae Clark Tardif passed away peacefully at Hospice of Southern Kentucky on November 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Born in Weston, West Virginia, on November 3, 1936, Patty was the daughter of the late Deltah Louise Henline Clark and Bertis Oldman Clark. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Louise Clark Morris.

After graduating from Weston High School in 1955, Patty enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1956. During her service, she met her first husband, Clarence Allen Hull, with whom she shared three children. Following their military service, they settled in Miami, Florida, where Patty worked at Western Electric. There she became deeply involved in the company’s craft and ribbon shows, earning numerous blue ribbons for her creative projects and her beautiful rose garden displays.

Faith was the cornerstone of Patty’s life. She was an active member of the North Miami Church of the Nazarene, and her devotion to the church continued as she later lived in Davie, Florida, Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Okeechobee, Florida. Her commitment extended beyond her local congregation. Patty participated in nine missionary trips abroad, always eager to serve—whether with a hammer in hand or a pot of stew on the stove.

In 1977, newly single, Patty joined the Army National Guard and proudly resumed her service to her country. A few years later, she married Gaetan “Mike” Tardif, beginning a new chapter filled with love, faith, and community. Together, they served the Lord through the Church of the Nazarene wherever they were needed, and they supported Trevecca Nazarene University, helping young students in need.

Patty’s creativity was boundless. She loved to paint and followed Bob Ross faithfully, mastering his techniques and sharing her art with family and friends. She also founded the Teddy Bear Project at Bowling Green First Church of the Nazarene, ensuring that anyone in need of comfort could find a teddy bear adorned with encouraging words. During her winters in Okeechobee, Florida, she was the driving force behind a mission to feed the homeless and less fortunate, dedicating herself to serving those in need.

Her life was marked by service, creativity, and faith. Patty leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and generosity that will be cherished by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gaetan (Mike) Michael Tardif; her children, Michael Hull, William Hull (Harrison), and Lynne Hull Rogers; step-children Carol Tardif Perez (Ron) and John Tardif (Tanna); sisters Helen Rose Clark McCarty and Betty Lou Clark Mayfield; brother Bertis Clark (Shirley); and countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Patty’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Bowling Green First Church, 1503 Westen Street, Bowling Green, KY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd, Bowling Green KY 42104.

Her laughter, her playful spirit, especially with her easily modified inheritances for her children, kept on her beloved Etch-A-Sketch, her wisdom, creativity, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
