Paula Kaye Watkins, born on April 20, 1959, in Mendota, Illinois, passed away on May 27, 2025, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, whose spirit and warmth touched the lives of many.

Paula was the beloved daughter of Willie and Gloria Chaney, who predeceased her and raised her in a loving home that instilled values of kindness and compassion. Paula held her family close, drawing strength from the bonds she shared with them throughout her life.

She leaves behind a devoted family, including her brothers, Larry Chaney of Columbia, Kentucky; Ronald Chaney of Browns Valley, Minnesota; and her sister, Sue Geohring (Jack) of Sisseton, South Dakota. Her loving sister, Linda Long, resides in Brighton, Tennessee. Paula's familial ties extended deeply into her own branches, as she proudly nurtured her three daughters: Jennifer Resendez, Katrina Zacharias, and Zara Tabitha Ware (Ghatt), all of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Each of her daughters was a source of pride and joy for Paula, who filled their lives with love and support. She is predeceased by her sisters, Patricia Zeibarth and Deborah Chaney. 

As a grandmother, Paula reveled in the delight of her grandchildren: Steven Zacharias, Martin Cain Resendez, Alexis Nagy, Taya Nagy, Jayla Eiesland, Mylee Bruske, and Jayden Eiesland. Her legacy continues through their laughter, achievements, and cherished memories.

Paula’s life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family and her commitment to making those around her feel special. She will be remembered fondly for her compassionate heart, her strength in resilience, and her ability to bring joy to every gathering.

Though she has departed from this world, Paula Kaye Watkins will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who will carry her memory with them. Her impact on their lives is profound, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
