Raymond Eugene "Ray Ray" Epley, age 77, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026.

Born on January 19, 1949, Raymond was the son of the late Helen Louise Thompson and John Henry Epley Sr. He was also preceded in death by his son, Raymond Eugene Epley Jr.; his brothers, John Epley Jr. and Ronnie Epley Sr.; and his sister, Mary Jane Epley.

Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his military service, he worked as a press operator for Lord Corporation, where he was known as a dedicated and hardworking employee. He was a graduate of Bowling Green High School.

In his free time, Raymond enjoyed sandblasting and coin collecting. He appreciated working with his hands and took pride in his hobbies, finding enjoyment in both craftsmanship and the history behind the coins he collected.

He cherished his family and the relationships he shared with them throughout his life. He is survived by his son, Kevin Epley, grandson, Lucas Houchins, three great-grandchildren, and ex-wife Lounell Brummitt Epley McAlister who will carry forward his memory. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including his nephews Ronnie Epley Jr., John Epley III, and Ross Dickens, along with many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Raymond will be remembered for his quiet strength, his dedication to his work and country, and the love he had for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
