R D Tarrence

Mr. R D Tarrence, age, 83, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted Monday, October 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Bowling Green Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. R D was born May 15, 1939, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Delbert Lee Tarrence and the late Emma Deweese Tarrence. He is also preceded in death by a grandson, Roy Daniel Tarrence and great-granddaughter, Lillian Grace Tarrence, three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rebecca Haynes Tarrence, their two sons, Roy Dathan Tarrence (Stacey) of Bowling Green, KY, and Jeremy Tarrence (Mandy) of Perryville, KY. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Ryan Dalton Tarrence (Amanda), Robert Dylan Tarrence (Destiny), Blake Tarrence and Bailey Tarrence; four great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Tarrence, Harper Rose Tarrence, Ruby Diane Tarrence, and Raylan Daniel Tarrence; one brother. R D was a member of Three Forks Church of Christ in Smiths Grove, KY. He was a farmer and worked in construction for the majority of his life. R D was a master gardener and took pride in his harvest every year. He loved tending to his land and taking care of his cattle. He cut tobacco, hay and tended to his land and yard up until the time of his passing. He was also very kind to his neighbors by helping them out with numerous things and mowing their yards throughout the years. R D’s happy place was being at home with his family and sitting behind the wheel of his John Deere tractor taking care of the farm.
