Robert O. “Bob” Higginbotham, 92, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026. He was born on January 3, 1934, in Bakerton, KY, to the late Eura M. Higginbotham and Robert O. Higginbotham.

Bob was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished companion. He shared 36 years of his life with his special companion, Joy Walden, who survives him.

He is survived by his children, Michael Higginbotham (Mary), Rhonda Hatler, Robert M. Higginbotham (Sherry), and Kellie Wright; six grandchildren, Erin Higginbotham, Michelle Candela, Autumn Green, Stephany Campbell, Summer Fitzgerald, and Brittany Sale; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force for 20 years. Following his military service, he continued his career with Western Kraft Paper Co., from which he later retired.

Known as a man of his word, Bob believed in honesty, keeping his promises, and standing by those he cared about. Outside of work and service, he found happiness in the simple things. He loved his dogs, tending to his garden, and building furniture with his own hands. His craftsmanship and dedication were a reflection of the man he was.

Bob will be remembered for the life he built, the people he loved, and the lasting impression he left on his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
