Sarah Hill

Sarah Ann Hill born August 11, 1938 in Lewisburg, TN to the late Jessie L Porterfield and Emmaline Savage Porterfield, passed away February 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Thomas Hill. She is survived by her sons Marshall T. Hill (Dalys) of Butler, Steven D. Hill (Elaina) of Alvaton, Scott A. Hill (Bethany) of Bowling Green and daughter Patricia Hill Barrick of Bowling Green. She was a proud Grandma of seven grandchildren: Michelle Robbins (Wyatt) of Erlanger, KY, Andrew J. Simak of Ft. Wright, KY, Ethan Hill, Emmaline Hill, Sydney Hill, Macy Kate Barrick, and Carter Hill. She was also proud of her three great-grandchildren: Leah Robbins, Caleb Robbins and Isabella Simak. Ann and Charles were married in 1960 and resided in Detroit and Louisville before settling in Bowling Green. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ and had a great love of the Lord. She was a homemaker who loved to take care of her family. She was known for her cooking, her flower garden, and singing hymns that she knew by heart. Her favorite advise was a little bit of butter, a little bit of sugar and a little bit of “recipe” made everything a little bit better. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday, February 9th from 4:00p. m. till 8:00p. m. and Wednesday, February 10th from 10:00a. m. till Noon with service beginning at Noon and graveside burial at 1:00p. m. at Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green, KY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Potter Children’s Home & Family Ministries, 2350 Nashville Rd. , Bowling Green, KY 42101. As she often said…. She’s been benefitted.
