Scott Ray Harkins

Scott Ray Harkins, born on November 14, 1964, in Jackson, TN, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025. He was a retired drywall contractor who took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication to helping others.

Scott graduated from Warren Central High School and touched many lives through his generous spirit and loving nature. He had a special affinity for the outdoors and was an avid gardener, particularly cherishing his time spent nurturing flowers. Scott enjoyed evenings with friends, often gathered around a dice board, sharing laughter and camaraderie. His grand-dog Pepper and puppy Maggie were also beloved companions that brought him joy.

Family was immensely important to Scott. He is survived by his loving mother, Wanda Harkins; his cherished daughter, Julia Harkins; and his sister, Wendy Dennison. He also leaves behind his niece, Elizabeth Tennison. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Harkins, and his sister, Julie Speakman.

Scott's deep love for his family and his faith in the Lord was central to his life. He loved all people without prejudice and has left a lasting impact on those who knew him. The world is certainly a bit dimmer with his light extinguished, but he will always be remembered for his kindness and compassion.

A memorial service to honor Scott will take place on August 25, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM at Hillvue Heights Church located at 3219 Nashville Rd, Bowling Green, KY 42101. This will be followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM at the same location.
