Scott Lay

Scott Allen Lay (50) of Smiths Grove, KY entered into eternal rest on July 17, 2020. He was the beloved son of Dillard Claude Lay and Donnie Kaye Britt, and grandson of Merl and Ernie Britt. He was a graduate of Warren East High School, an avid lover of 80's Rock music, and a huge fan of the Cubs. He was known for his quick wit and kind and compassionate spirit. He is survived by one son, Steven Allen Lay; one sister, Jenny Lay Haley and two brothers: Wade Lay and Jonathan Lay, his best friends, Eric Schroader and Barbara Jones. Other survivors include three aunts:Faye Thompson, MaryAnn Ayers, and Betty Smith, one niece, one nephew and several cousins. His funeral services will be held at Cone Funeral Home in Bowling Green on July 21, 2020 with visitation from 9am-1pm and the funeral service at 1pm. He will be laid to rest at Smiths Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations toward the cost of funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements.
