Obituary:
Shelly Denise Yoakem of Brownsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 25, 2024. She was born on November 28th, 1963, to her loving parents Bobby Gene Moran and Joyce Faye Moran. Shelly is survived by her beloved sons, Jamie Lee Miller (Cynthia) and Kevin Dewayne Miller (Jennifer), as well as her cherished grandchildren Braden Miller (Mollie), Kelie Jo Miller, and Kendall Miller. She was also blessed with 2 great-grandchildren Aaniyah Izzabelle Miller, and Iyla Jane Miller.
Shelly had a profound love for the beach. Her fascination with hummingbirds brought joy and wonder into her life every day. An avid Gunsmoke fan, she found comfort in the stories told through the screen.
In addition to her immediate family, Shelly is survived by her stepmother Ida Haskins, siblings Gena Lynn Yoakem (Ronnie), Samantha Cannon (Kyle), Draper Moran (Tabitha), Kelly Moran, Shane Johnson (Heather), Tiffany Hester (Derrick), several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends who will all hold dear memories of their time shared with Shelly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 8, 2024, at Hawks Cemetery in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The service will begin at 12:00 PM and as family and friends gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul that was Shelly Denise Yoakem. This will be a potluck\ cookout everyone that is able please bring a dish for the Celebration.
May Shelly's spirit soar free like a hummingbird in the skies above as her memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
