Sheri Sowards

Sheri Kay Sowards, 52, passed peacefully in her sleep on her birthday, April 21, 2021 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Sheri was born April 21, 1969 to Darold and Marie DeLong in Alma, MI. Throughout her years she has lived in many places, most recently Lewisburg, KY. Sheri enjoyed spending her time outdoors, camping, fishing, and gardening. She also loved crafting and selling Paparazzi Jewelry. But if anyone asked, Sheri would say spending time with her grandkids, Ashley and Jayce was her favorite thing. Sheri is preceded in death by her brother Darold “Bud” G DeLong Jr. She is survived by her parents: Darold and Marie DeLong; siblings, Marsha (Kevin) Eichorn and Donna (Mike) Priest; her children: Anthony (Christy) Degase and Brenda Degase; her grandchildren, Ashley and Jayce as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Sheri’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in her honor. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of Southern Kentucky for their compassion and kindness and ask that in lieu of flowers, family and friends send condolences in the form of donations to the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.
