Shirley Jane Sweatt

Shirley Jane Sweatt, born Shirley Jane Ashby on October 10, 1944, in Russellville, Kentucky, passed away on May 9, 2026, at Greenview Regional Hospital. She was 81 years old.

Shirley lived a life marked by her work as a contract painter. Her dedication to her craft was evident and a defining part of her daily life.

She is survived by her siblings James Ashby, Brenda Taylor, and Larry Ashby, who carry on her memory with love. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Gracie Carneal Ashby Williams, her father, Gratis Ashby, and her brothers, Ronnie Ashby and Bernard Ashby.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on May 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42104. Following the visitation, her funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM the same day at the same location.
