Stephanie Lindsey

Bowling Green

Stephanie Dawn Folker Lindsey, 51, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on September 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on June 22, 1973, in Daytona Beach, Florida, to Robert Dean Folker, Sr. and Rebecca Ann Collins Folker.

Stephanie was a bright, ambitious, and beautiful Christian woman whose love for God and family best defined her life. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in arts and a master's degree in behavioral psychology. Her career began working alongside her mother at Colonial Manor Nursing home, eventually serving as the Administrator of the Signature Health Care nursing facility for many years. Later, she started her own business as a board-certified behavioral analyst, helping children with autism.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, Chris Lindsey; children Angel Ann Minjarez (Manuel), Andrew Semrick (Sandra), and Sammie Lindsey; grandchildren Amelia Minjarez and a baby boy Minjarez due in October. She is also survived by her siblings Robert Folker, Jr. (Teri), Michael Folker (Amy), Melanie Clingenpeel (Stephen), Patrick Folker (Crystal), and Matthew Folker (Ashleigh). Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents.

Stephanie had a servant's heart, exemplified by her care for others. She and her sister Melanie helped raise their younger brother Matthew after their mother's passing in 1996. Stephanie, along with Melanie and sister-in-law Crystal, made frequent trips to Virginia to assist her oldest brother in caring for his wife before she succumbed to cancer in 2016. Stephanie also devoted much time supporting her father before his death in 2022.

An active member of the Alvaton Church of Christ, Stephanie was known for her beautiful alto voice and generous spirit. She and Chris opened their home to friends and family for holiday gatherings and frequent get-togethers, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all.

Stephanie enjoyed traveling with Chris and Sammie, often visiting Florida to enjoy the beach, go deep-sea fishing, and explore Disney World. Her love extended to her furry companions, Lulu and Minnie.

Stephanie's life was a testament to her faith, love, and dedication to family. Her bright spirit, compassionate nature, and unwavering strength in the face of adversity will be deeply missed by all who know her.
