Steven Blake Hurd

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Blake Hurd, age 34 of Bowling Green. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family. Blake has spent the last 17 years of his life fighting the odds after a traumatic brain injury took away his ability to live independently. He is no longer suffering in pain.

 Blake was a kind-hearted, hilarious, & incredibly strong individual who demonstrated patience & resilience throughout all the adversity he faced in life. God’s spirit shined through Blake’s beautiful, gentle soul.

 Blake is mourned by Angela Carr (mother), Steven Hurd (father), Hannah Cummings (sister), Nathan Cummings (brother), Tim Cummings (stepfather), Grandparents: Joe and Pat Jackson, Doug and Carol Hurd, Jim and Bonnie Cummings, and his nieces Delilah Blu and Magnolia Mae, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is deeply missed and forever cherished.

 Services will be held at Cone Funeral Home on Monday, June 17th. Visitation will begin at 10am, the funeral commences at 12pm, followed by the burial at Still Cemetery.
