Veachel Johnson

Veachel ""Bud"" Johnson, 88 of Bowling Green died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Signature Health Care. The Warren Co. native was the son of the late James Oscar Johnson and Tina Lee Scruggs Johnson. He was a truck driver and a farmer. Besides his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Johnson, his sisters: Loure Elmore and Minnie Martin and his faithful little dog, BB who died in 2008. He is survived by his daughters: Shirley Ann Appleby, Judy Wilson (Steve) & Mary Dee Beckner (Joe); his sons: Jimmy Johnson (Melissa), Gary Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Ronnie Johnson and Tommy Johnson (Donna); his stepchildren: Roger Basham, Robert Basham, Alice Maston, James Basham (Dorothy), John Basham (Madena) and Betty Cherry (Larry). Other survivors include his sister, Flossie Turner; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation for Veachel ""Bud"" Johnson will be Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 from 4 pm - 9 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) and Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 am until 1 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 pm with burial in Highland Baptist Church in Hadley, Ky. Cone Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
