Virginia Wilson

Virginia Mae Wilson, age 86 of Smiths Grove, KY died Wednesday April 3, 2019 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born May 21, 1932 in Park City Kentucky a daughter of George Amos and Katie Woods Amos. Virginia is also preceded in death by her daughter: Mary Ann Lewis, her three brothers: George Amos, Jr, Roy Amos, and John Amos. She also is preceded in death by her son-in-law: Ricky Brown, her sister-in-law: Sandy Amos, and her brothers-in-law: LeRoy Bunton and Joe Boards. She was of the Baptist Faith, being a former member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Smiths Grove. She owned her own housekeeping business and loved Gospel Music, to go fishing, cook, paint, quilting, and playing cards. She loved birds and leaves behind her pet cockatiel Paco. Virginia is survived by her four children: Betsy Jan Wilson of Bowling Green, KY, Virginia Wilson Brown of Smiths Grove, KY, Shontel Shana Wilson of Bowling Green, KY, and Herschel L. (Noelle) Wilson of Tacoma, WA. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren: Aaron M. (Cheyenne) Wilson of Richmond, KY, Zoe Mai Wilson of Tacoma, WA, Anthony Tyril (Jorden) Sanders, WA, Malaya Sanders and MaKeal Sanders of Bowling Green, KY, Zara Maleni Wilson of Tacoma, WA, Zayda Marie Wilson of Tacoma, WA, Sherra Moore of Franklin, KY, Chris (Wendy) Wilson of Kimball, NE, Magan Wilson of Bowling Green, KY, Tanara Wilson of Bowling Green, KY, and Frederick (Crystal) Wilson of Bowling Green, KY. Virginia is also survived by her 15 great grandchildren, five brothers and sisters: Louise Bunton of Bowling Green, KY, Veoria Boards of Bowling Green, KY, Robert (Jasper) Amos of Bowling Green, KY, LeRoy Amos of Indianapolis, IN and William (Pearl) Amos of New Albany, IN. along with many other relatives and friends. The funeral service celebrating Virginia's life will be held Saturday: April 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Cone Funeral Home Chapel (1510 Campbell Lane). Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens in Bowling Green, KY. The visitation for Virginia will be at Cone Funeral Home on Saturday April 6, 2019 from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 am.
