William Moore

Dr. William Earl Moore, age 81, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. A Memorial Service is scheduled to be conducted on Friday, May 19,2023, at Cone Funeral Home at 4:00pm. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00pm until time of service at 4:00pm. There will also be a service held later in the summer for his family in Lexington, KY. William was born September 9, 1941, in Lexington, KY to the late Cleveland Moore and the late Margaret Vogler Moore. He is also preceded in death by six siblings, Eunice Mullis, Lenore Benton, Bryce Moore, Swinford Moore, Rose Marie Howard, Patricia Karns, and Forrest Moore. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Moore of Vista, CA, three siblings, Annie Ashby, Cleveland “Sonny” Moore, and Virginia Sebastian. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. William was a retired Ophthalmologist in Bowling Green for twenty-five plus years. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Kentucky and his MD at University of Louisville. William enjoyed working on old cars and tinkering with electronics. He loved to read, watch movies, and collect books.
