Winston Lobow

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our precious father, Winston Marcello Joseph Lobow on August 26, 2023, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA. He was born on October 11, 1919, in Royapuram, Madras, British India and Baptized at St. Mathias Anglican/Protestant Church, Vepery Madras. Winston was married to Pansy Kathleen Lobow and had 6 children: Alastair, Harriet, Quentin, Ray, Sadie, and Undine. He worked as a Mechanical Boiler Engineer/Supervisor with the British Indian Railways/Indian Railways. Winston served in WWII as an International Combat Soldier with the British Indian Army; his father Sebastian Lobow served in WWI in Basra (modern day Iraq). The oldest son of Florence Elizabeth Lobow (nee) Arnett and Sebastian Lobow and siblings: Chloe, Gladstone, Osmond, Norah, Dennis, and Rosalind He is survived by his children: Alastair, Harriet, Ray, Sadie and Undine and daughter in laws Collette, Virginia, and Son in laws: Frank, Meredith, Patrick, Grandchildren: Ceanne, Chenell & Crystal, Sheldon & Natasha, Candace & Lester / Raja, Zolan, Jerry, & Alex; Grandchildren: Ancita and Melissa & Great-grandchild Baby Nicholas. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 3pm. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 10am to 3pm. All services will be held at Cone Funeral Home. The service will be live streamed on the funeral homes Facebook page.
