Kirk Flannigan, Jr., 83, of Bowling Green, KY, was born October 10, 1938, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Kirk Flannigan, Sr. and Gertrude Morgan, and passed away in The Medical Center at Bowling Green, KY, on April 12, 2022.
Besides his parents, Kirk was preceded in death by three children, his sons, Darrell and Danny, and a daughter, Belinda.
Kirk is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Flannigan; his daughters, Debi, Barbie, Kim, Diane, and Lesa; his sons, Earl, and Anthony; two brothers and one sister, Mike, Jack, and Jan; along with fourteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Kirk, known as “Sonny” to his siblings and parents, was fun loving, funny, generous, and soft-hearted. He was a hard-working facilities manager with a good business sense, including the ability to connect with his employees. Kirk was an Army veteran, who served in Vietnam, and a history buff who “knew all the answers to Jeopardy.” He was a Christian and a family man who loved his children, especially his daughters. But he had a special passionate love for his wife, Barbara.
The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Ln) with arrangements. After a private family visitation at the funeral home Mr. Flannigan will be returned to his long-term home in Oregon for burial.
